Make that a double.

A double shot of espresso. Caffeine, like a unique idea or a hard-to-come-by inspiration, keeps me up and jolts me to my waking reality. Either that or it takes me to a world where I, armed with a Macbook and an iPhone for blogging, am the only one that exists, cooking up ideas, reminiscing about things gone by or looking forward to the future.

I’m a coffee lover. Although I like cappuccino and a latte more than espresso, I decided to christen this blog “A Shot of Espresso” because I am not just referring to my favourite caffeinated drink, but the strong shot that inspires me to write. You know, that certain “kick” that just gets to you and makes you want to do your thing. 😉

So, welcome to my “cafe”! Order a cappuccino, a green tea frap or a non-fat latte. It’s on me. You can have it here or to go. Grab a slice of banana cake or that delightful Oreo cheesecake. Ah, perfect with your coffee!

On a side note, this is my attempt at keeping an organised blog about things I care about, places I’ve been (or want to go) to and moments that move me in a good way. Well, mostly about my life, its randomness and snippets of what I see or where I am through pictures.

I am not new to blogging. I have a few floating somewhere but some of them are either too personal to be shared with my professional and other networks, or too specific that limits me to write about other topics.

With that in mind, I aim to get into the hang of daily blogging, based on different themes I came up with:

* Monday Madness – topics about work, marketing communications, advertising, public relations, among others, in different formats and media.

* Digital Tuesday – share apps that I like or talk about innovations in this dynamic world called Information Technology.

* WeBnesday – briefly talk about what’s hot (or what’s not) on the web right now. Basically, I’ll blog about interesting web finds and share them with you.

* Throwback Thursday – getting into the hang of giving “throwbacks”, well, here’s mine! A little trip back in time.

* Friday Under Fifty – nifty ideas about spending under S$50 (US$40) on a Friday in this expensive little city called Singapore.

* Lifestyle Saturday – food, places and travels, fitness! Add in a little guilty pleasure in there and I’m all set!

* Sunday Anything – features more relaxed posts, from the most loved MAC lipstick (sorry, guys!) to the latest romantic comedy movie of the year.

See you ’round!

Mabuhay! Thank you for the warm comment and for stopping by. I’m still considered a WordPress newbie, seeing as I still have less than 30 posts. Slowly working on making a commitment to blogging, and stick to it, like you are. See you ’round! Ingat! 🙂

It doesn’t really matter if we are newbie on wordpress, as long as we inspire others, it’s quite the impact. 😉 Ingat din!
